Snow Buntings have arrived

We have about 50 Snow Buntings at the moment but I have not been able to get any really good photo’s of them

We also have a Mountain Hare which visits the bird feeder just outside our window every evening at 9pm

Emma has her hammock set up on the veranda and sits out there relaxing, even though its only just above freezing!

This weekend we travel to England to collect my dad and move him here to live with us.

This might mean that I do not write anything here for a couple of weeks.

Dad’s bedroom is completed!

In 10 days we travel to England to fetch my dad who is moving to live with us.

His room is now just about completed (here’s a before and after)

One week ago the first Snow Buntings (Plectrophenax nivalia) appeared one week ago, but I have not managed to get any photographs of them as yet so here is one from a couple of years ago.

The Tengmalm’s Owl has stopped singing and I’m not sure if that’s because it has a mate on eggs or if it has moved somewhere else….time will tell.
